I have been using Crypto.com visa card as my main credit card for a few years. It started when the token was still called MCO before they did a swap to CRO. If you are looking for a cryptocurrency credit card that gives you cashback in crypto, then search no further as this is honestly one of the best cards with the potential for huge growth in value. If you sign up using this link (Sign Up for a Crypto.com account) today, you will also get $25 USD value in your account.
In those days, it was much cheaper to stake and upgrade on your credit card tiers which then give you much better card benefits. Here’s the latest list of benefits depending on which card you are using.
The Crypto.com Private will give you a Crypto.com Northface Hoodie, a cap, a t-shirt, a webcam cover and stickers. Pretty cool if you had staked at least $50,000 SGD or similar in your currency.
I am currently using a Royal Indigo card and it is dapper AF. It is metallic and has some weight to it. The best thing about it is I get free Netflix and Spotify. How it works is you use the card to pay for these subscriptions. You will still get charged by you will be refunded the fees with the equivalent CRO value. For Spotify, you will be reimbursed a maximum of USD 12.99 monthly and for Netflix, it is USD 13.99 monthly. The benefit here is if CRO’s value continues going up, then your cashback value goes up as well. So if you are getting a 3% cashback on your expenditure, this 3% could potentially be worth a lot more.
The best way to top up your CRO card without incurring fees at the moment is using the Revolut debit card. This allows you to use your CRO card like a prepaid card where you top up the value into your card in order to spend it. Purchases made using the card will be instantly reflected with the rebates if it is an eligible transaction.
Only the Obsidian has an 8% rebate for your eligible spending. That is quite a lot of savings but the staking for it is currently $500,000 SGD and that is a lot of money to stake for such a volatile currency. For now, I am happy with my Indigo card which gives 3% rebates but it only requires $5,000 SGD staking. When I first started using it, I only had to stake 10,000 CRO tokens which were around $2,400 SGD. That is more than half of today’s staking rates. In hindsight, I should definitely have staked at least the Icy White card as the value of CRO has gone up around 600% this year.
